Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? Here's some answers.

  • Why should I attend therapy?

Carl Jung, a famous psychiatrist and founder of analytical psychology said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will rule your life and you will call it fate”. Many of us are living our lives on autopilot, engaging in relationships and making decisions, but we don’t like the results that we are left with. Often this feels like being stuck in one or more unpleasant cycles where we know we want out, but don’t know how. Therapy can provide the insight that you need to become more conscious of the patterns and cycles in your life and how to break out of them.

  • What is therapy like with you?

My first priority is your safety, a close second is your transformation. I approach therapy with compassion and understanding; the space between us is yours to explore the circumstances and dynamics that exist if your life. My role is to hear and see you so that I may gently reflect your experiences and lead you on a path to better see and understand yourself and the ways in which you engage with the world.

  • Are you a licensed mental health therapist?

I am a pre-licensed therapist working under the supervision of a fully licensed therapist. I am presently working toward the 3,000-hour requirement to become licensed.

  • How long is a therapy session?

    Therapy sessions are 50 minutes.

  • What type of training do you have?

I received a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and completed my internship at Southern California Counseling Center, working in community mental health. I have completed a year-long trauma training in Compassionate Inquiry, a modality that was developed by Dr. Gabor Mate; and I have completed all of the formal training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and I am in pursuit of becoming fully certified.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance. Payment must be made at the conclusion of each therapy session.

  • In-person or online?

You can attend therapy virtually or in-person. Currently, I have more virtual availability.

  • Session frequency

Typically, therapy sessions take place weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. If you are just beginning therapy, I highly recommend that you attend therapy weekly and taper off as you meet your therapy goals.

  • Session price

Individual therapy sessions are $150; couples sessions are $185. If there is availability, I offer rates based upon a sliding scale (your ability to pay).

  • Cancellation policy

I require 24 hours notice to cancel or change a therapy session. The full price of the session will be charged for failure to provide the required notice.
